Cape Verdeans represent a significant proportion of foreigners in Portugal

The number of foreigners residing in Portugal has increased significantly in recent years, with African and South American countries contributing the most to this growth. As of 2023, there are over 1 million foreigners residing in the country, representing 10% of the total population.
